Monica is one of those brides who just exuberate classical elegance and both her and Anton were an absolute pleasure to photograph. Monica and Anton decided to have their wedding photographs taken before the actual wedding. Friday brought along typical hot Highveld weather and we opted to shoot the majority of the photographs under cover, with the plan of shooting the remaining bridal photographs after the wedding when things has cooled down. One of the advantages of shooting the bridal couple before hand is that I had loads of time and did a fair amount of experimenting. Of which you can see an example see shot below. This is one of my shots that I continually attempt to achieve , especially when the bride is walking into the church and she is backlit from behind . It might seem pretty easy ( one of those textbook shots) but in practice rather tricky. Needless to say I got it right.
Now totally off the topic of wedding photography and on to food. I very seldom eat at functions, no let me rephrase that I don't normally eat at weddings. ( But there is always a first time ). In short the food was FANTASTIC, tasty, more than enough and friendly staff. Kudo's to L'Aquila. Thank you very much. This is a meal that I will remember for a very long time.
Benny ( Monica's father ) is very much into his photography thank you very much for the in between chats and info regarding photography, portfolios and where things are going. Alma thank you for making me feel part of the family.
Its Sunday evening and I have had a rather hectic day surrounded by little kids as it was Keir my sons 6th birthday. So to Monica and Anton and Keir CONGRATULATIONS.
ENJOY THE PHOTOGRAPHS
